Housing: Advocacy & Assistance

Is this program for me?
  • Are you moving into a new place and need help with the deposit?
  • Are you seeking emergency rental assistance due to a 3 day pay or quit notice?
  • Are you behind on your rent due to a temporary financial crisis?
  • Are you homeless and need assistance with case management and a housing plan?
  • Are you in our Service Area?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may qualify for the Family Service Housing Assistance and Advocacy Program.

Assessment Review Process?
  1. Assessments are accepted on an ongoing basis.
**If applying for move-in assistance, please download or pick-up an Intent to Rent letter and have the property manager fill it out prior to applying.
  2. Assessments are reviewed by members of our staff each Friday. You should expect a phone call within five business days after submitting your application.
  3. The phone call will consist of a review of your application with one of our staff members to determine if you qualify for a screening appointment.
  4. If you do meet the initial qualifications, a case manager will follow up to schedule an in-person screening appointment at the agency.
**Please review What to Bring for a list of documents you need to bring to your appointment. The process cannot be completed without all required documents.
