Good afternoon Volunteers!
I wanted to give a quick announcement that I'm creating new Volunteer Opportunities on Better Impact!
Once a month, FSA will be hosting a Housing Orientation for our new clients and we need help setting up for the event, childcare, and handing out resources. There are a lot of moving parts so there are going to be a few new shifts for that day: 
  • 🪑 Set Up
    • 12:30-2:00pm
    • Location: Dining Room
      • moving chairs, tables, and technology
      • cleaning chairs, tables, and floor
  • 🧸 First Childcare Shift
    • 1:30-3:30pm
    • Location: Childcare Room
      • checking children into childcare
      • engaging in activities with them
  • 🧸 Second Childcare Shift
    • 3:30-5:30pm
    • Location: Childcare Room
      • checking children out of childcare
      • engaging in activities with them
  • 📦 Resources
    • 2:30-4:30pm
    • Location: Dining Room
      • handing out resource packets and boxes to clients after they complete orientation
We could really use the help, especially this coming September 9, 2026. If you could do multiple shifts, we'd appreciate it!
You'll sign in like normal in the lobby, then head to the location of your shift (for example, if you're here to set up, meet in the dining room after clocking in). Be sure to clock out as well when you're done!

​Schools, businesses, churches, and other organizations are welcome! If you are part of a service group that would like to volunteer, please submit the inquiry form in this box.

After you submit the inquiry form, the Marketing and Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you via email to confirm a specific date and time.

Then you will be sent some paperwork to fill out and bring on the day of volunteering.

There's two volunteering opportunities we have available regularly:
  • Nutritional Support
    • Works best for groups of 5 - 7 people
    • Weekdays 8:30am - 11:30am
    • Fuel hope while helping serve breakfast! Join us in providing a warm start to the day for members of our community.
    • This is one of our most in-demand volunteer roles, and we have a set crew every day of the week. If you're interested, let the Volunteer Coordinator know at least A WEEK IN ADVANCE.
  • Donation Center
    • Works best for very large groups
    • Weekdays anytime between 8:30am and 4:30pm
    • Our Donation Center offers daily volunteer opportunities to support both our Food Pantry and Clothing Room, two essential programs that serve families throughout the community.
    • If you have a strong preference for either working the Food Pantry or Clothing Room, please inform the Volunteer Coordinator

👕 Donation Center – Food Pantry & Clothing Room (Monday–Friday)
Our Donation Center offers daily volunteer opportunities to support both our Food Pantry and Clothing Room, two essential programs that serve families throughout the community.

​Volunteer roles include:
- Clothing Room: Sorting, folding, and organizing clothing donations, as well as assisting clients as they shop for their families.
- Food Pantry: Weighing, labeling, stocking, date-checking, and organizing incoming food donations. Volunteers may also help assemble food boxes for our Community Food Box Distribution, which supports families across the East Inland Empire.
Volunteers in the Donation Center may be placed in either the Food Pantry or Clothing Room depending on the needs of the day.

🕒 Shifts: 8:45 AM – 11:00 AM, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, or 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM
