Food Pantry

Helps us receive, date-check, and organize food donations and prepare for community food giveaway events.

Clothing Room

Sort, fold, and organize clothing donations or assist client families as they shop in our clothing room.
ages 12+

Breakfast Program

Cook and serve hot to-go breakfasts for individuals experiencing homelessness or food insecurity in our community.

Volunteer Requirements

Onboarding process
All volunteers must complete an online volunteer application. Prior to volunteering, volunteers must provide a valid photo ID and complete an emergency contact form and physical waiver form which can be done in our main office.
COURT-MANDATED COMMUNITY SERVICE ​
Individuals may complete their court-mandated hours with Family Service. However, we cannot accept applicants who have been charged for a felony or violent crime (domestic abuse, misconduct involving children, possession of firearms, etc.). Please bring any required paperwork with you. If you have any questions about your ability to volunteer with us, please complete our contact form.​
VOLUNTEER AGE REQUIREMENTS
  1. Volunteers must be 12 years of age or older to volunteer with Family Service.
  2. Volunteers 12-15 years of age must have parent/guardian supervision while volunteering with our organization.
  3. ​Volunteers 16-17 years of age may volunteer without parental guidance, but must have their parent/guardian submit a signed waiver prior to volunteering with us. ​
​CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS
Please dress appropriately by wearing comfortable clothing. It is a requirement that our volunteers wear closed-toed shoes for safety reasons. ​
